My Time To Craft Challenge

This is my new blog! I'm really excited to be starting it. I hope to update it most days :-)

My first post is a collection of some of my, My Time To Craft Challenge work
I've selected some of my favourites. I set up My Time To Craft back in Feb this year and have enjoyed it so much!

Bye for now.........
Lots of love kate xxxx

Brads & Eyelets Challenge: I made a circle shape card. I used this beautiful 'Flower top Maggie' stamp by Bootiful Stampz. I coloured her in with watercolours & distress inks. I drew a patten of hearts, swirls and flowers and stuck lots of silver beads on. The papers I used were purple card stock and Basic grey: Perhaps - Beatrice. I drew some stitching around the edges and used distress inks around the edges of my card. I embellished with white ribbon and paper flowers and some bronze brads.

Pockets Challenge: For this week's theme I made an inchie (1'' x 1''). I decorated it with some silver beads, a crafty individuals image and a paper flower. I cut out a tiny pocket in brown cardstock and made a tiny tag to go inside it. I wrote the word love and finished off by adding some ribbon.

Dark Hair Challenge: I made a frame around my card using some blue and yellow paper and basic grey cardstock. I embellished the frame with beads and sequins. I printed out a clipart postcard and distressed with a mustard seed ink pad. I then watercoloured my Shabby Chic Tilda and Rufus dog stamps and also used my postage stamp by Paperartys. I made my own background using watercolours. I next made a little tag and embellished with flowers. I finished off with a brown prima, yellow ribbon, buttons, gems and adding some detail with gold liquid pearls.

In Stiches challenge: I used Two Scoops - Pistachio Almond paper & K & Co - Hopscotch paper. I coloured my Sugar Nellie- Dexter the Bear with watercolours. I also made him a little jumper with my Pistachio Almond paper. I embellished with white ribbon, a few buttons and drew freehand stitches all around my card!

Ribbons challenge: I cut out a heart shape and covered with some brown card stock embossed with my Cuttlebug - Swiss dots. I used Crafty Individuals paper, I used lots of sequins, beads, paper flowers, black & green ribbons and buttons. I used my Paperartys swirls and curls stamp. I used a Crafty Individuals image and cut out a frame for it. I distressed the edges with Vintage photo distress ink and finished off by printing out the words 'precious memories' tearing the edges of the paper and distressing with ink.

Fruit Challenge: I used papers: Basic Grey Infuse - Invest and 7 gypsies and blue and black cardstock. I distressed the edges of the paper with gold dauber duos and vintage photo distress ink. I watercolored my Tilda stamp and bench and used my paperartsy words stamp. I drew a freehand illustration of some cherries and watercolored them. Embellished with green sequins, buttons, ribbons and gold glitter

Sparkle Challenge: I used dark & pale pink cardstock, pink primas & white buttons. The ribbons I used are by creative impressions and the paper is MME Valentine - Cupid's Toile and I used a vintage image. I stamped onto pink paper with my paper artsy words stamp and added lots of sparkle with my silver stickles.

Frames challenge: I used Basic Grey Infuse - Purify paper & lilac cardstock. I cut out a frame and distressed it with pink, purple and brown ink pads. I then cut out a vintage image and coloured the dress with my Petal Point purple ink pad. I distressed a music sheet image and used my Paper Artsy words stamp on some pink paper. I stuck on some bronze beads in a swirl shape and printed out some words and coloured them with my chalks. I finished off with a purple flower, and some gems.

Quotes and sayings challenge: I used pink, lilac and black cardstock and gold mirri card for my arch. I added lots of pink buttons, purple eyelets and purple & gold ribbon. The image & quote I used are by Heatwarming vintage cuts. The Quote reads: "Love can split the heavens in two and let the face of god shine through." The paper was made using a handwriting background stamp and then distressing with my tattered rose ink pad. I added a purple prima and I drew freehand gold detail with liquid pearls I also added a few sequins.

Flower power challenge: For this card I used my Tilda stamp and a selection of papers - Basic Grey 'Mellow', brown cardstock, and some floral yellow paper free in a magazine. I watercoloured the Tilda with watercolour pencils. I used my Crop-a-dile tool to clip on some eyelets and then threaded them through with white string. I embellished the card with some yellow flowers (with centred eylets) and adhesive pearls - Gun metal . I finished off by drawing freehand stiches along the edges of the Tilda design.

Pink challenge: For my Tag, I used some pink cardstock & paper called: Loves Me - So Happy togesther. I then drew lots of freehand details with a whispers brush marker. I covered a chipboard heart in pink paper and embellished with a pink flower with brad, and some silver sequins. The pink spotty ribbon I used was by Creative Impressions.

Newspaper Challenge: I started by covering my tag in black cardstock. I then stamped 3 cats by Pink Cat Studio, 1 in black on newspaper and two in silver on black card (and mounted them both on mirri card). I then stamped my Pink Cat Studio 'Cool Cat' stamp on black card in Petal Point silver. I once again mounted it on mirri card. I then embellished the Tag with some silver ribbon, some adhesive gems, cut some flowers with my Bigshot machine and secured them on with brads.
